A new Workspace update makes creating Slides a lot easier
If you use the Slides app a lot, then this update will definitely please you. There are a lot of times when you need to import images from different applications. Usually, you’d have to manually import the files, but this new update will make it a lot easier to actually drag and drop images and text straight from other applications. Say, you wrote a paragraph in Google docs, and you want to add it to the presentation. Instead of copying and pasting or typing it in, you can simply drag and drop it from the docks. The same thing goes for images, if you need to import a lot of images, you can drag and drop rather than having to go through the files menu. This is definitely targeted at people who make Slides using their tablets. Google is focusing more on making Android a more tablet-friendly operating system. Thus, it brought a couple of optimizations to the platform. One optimization is being able to drag and drop text and images between apps. Slides isn’t the only Workspace service to get an update. Google Meet also got some love. When creating a meeting, you’ll be able to see more information about who you’re inviting. The app will tell you information like their “out of office status”, working location, whether the meeting is outside of their usual hours, and if an invite to you is joining from a meeting room. Since this is Google Workspace, these features will not be available to everyone. They are available to people using the Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus, Educational Fundamentals, Educational Standard, Teachers & Learning Upgrade, and Education Plus users. This is also for non-profit customers and Legacy G Suite Basic and Business account users.
