Mortal Kombat Mobile is getting a lot of new content
Mortal Kombat Mobile is the closely tied-in companion to the official console games. It launched back in 2015 as Mortal Kombat X, but the name changed in 2019. For this holiday event, NetherRealm is delivering a bunch of gifts. For starters, Sindel from MK 11 is being added. Also, there’s a new Dark Queen Tower. This event takes place in the past when Outerworld invaded Edenia. During this war, you need to fight against both Edenian and Outworld opposition to climb the tower. If you reach the top, you’ll get a guaranteed diamond character. Mileena and Jax are getting some new brutalities as part of this event. You can earn these brutalities as gifts from doing the Dark Queen Tower. Jax blasts his enemies into the air with his bazooka while Mileena uses her Tele-splat attack for some serious cranial carnage. The other additions include new login bonuses and quality-of-life improvements. You’ll earn special in-game items when you log in consecutively. Each gift will be better than the last. Players will be able to upgrade their characters faster using a slider and display their health as either a bar or percentages.
Injustice 2 Mobile is also getting some new content
Like MK Mobile, Injustice 2 Mobile is the mobile tie-in for the Injustice console game. It launched back in May of 2017, and it improved on the first mobile version in several ways. At the top of the list, Mr. Freeze is making his way to the character roster. He’ll bring his own brand of ice-based action to the fight. He’ll be introduced through a new solo raid event called “On Ice.” When you complete the event, you’ll get a 3-star Mr. Freeze. Next up, players will be able to gain new items to help them combat Mr. Freeze. These are called Cry Artifacts. When wearing the new Polar Slippers, players will become invulnerable to Mr. Freeze’s ice powers. Players will also have a chance to apply “Snowstorm” when equipping Freeze Grenades. To top things off, there’s a new login event that’s going on. For ten days straight, players will be able to get new player gifts once every 24 hours.
