That being said, Xiaomi published these camera samples on Weibo. The Xiaomi 13 Pro has been confirmed to rock a 1-inch camera sensor (Sony’s IMX989 sensor), as does the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. On top of that, Leica’s lenses and expertise are also thrown into the mix. The Xiaomi 13 likely won’t include a 1-inch camera. The first link, for example, will lead you to camera samples with Leica’s authentic colors. That’s a mode in the camera that you can use. These look really great. They offer plenty of detail, and that recognizable Leica look. The second link will show you camera samples from the 75mm telephoto camera on the phone. There is an f/2.0 aperture lens on that camera, and these also look really great. The third set of camera samples is actually not from the Xiaomi 13 Pro. These come from the Xiaomi 13, but that doesn’t mean they’re not impressive. These camera samples have been taken with a 75mm telephoto camera on the phone, which also has an f/2.0 aperture lens.
Smartphones with 1-inch camera sensor are coming to more markets soon
Xiaomi is only one of the companies aiming to deliver a 1-inch camera to global markets. At the moment, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Vivo X90 Pro+ are the only smartphones that feature a 1-inch camera made specifically for smartphones. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is expected to utilize that very same sensor, but bring it to global markets. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra is exclusive to China.
